Report Child Neglect

Report ANY SUSPICION of child neglect or abuse using the numbers below

our COMMUNITY is responsible to have EYES on our children

North Idaho CASA provides advocacy services to child abuse victims in the 1st Judicial District, including the 5 counties of Benewah, Bonner, Boundary, Kootenai, and Shoshone. In 2026, we launched a public service campaign raising awareness to the importance of reporting child neglect. Since 2020, there has been a decline in the number of child abuse and neglect cases assigned a CASA. With the population in our region increasing, we know that children are suffering in silence and are depending on the community to alert authorities when there is even a slight suspicion of maltreatment.

Did you know? There are ANONYMOUS ways to report child neglect and abuse.
Idaho law requires anyone who suspects child abuse and neglect to report it immediately to either
(1) law enforcement or (2) the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare.
Both of these reporting options allow anonymous or confidential reporting.

If a child is in imminent danger, dial 9-1-1 immediately.
