Our volunteers are ordinary people who do extraordinary things through advocacy.
Join our CASA Team and make a difference in the lives of child victims.

Make a difference in the life of an abused or neglected child: YOU can be a CASA

"To give a child a CASA is to give them a voice.

To give them a voice is to give them hope.

To give them hope, is to give them the world."

The role of a CASA Volunteer Advocate:
A CASA volunteer Advocate is a trained volunteer child advocate appointed by a Magistrate Judge of the First Judicial District to represent the best interest of children who are abused and neglected and are involved in active Child Protective Act cases.

The primary responsibilities of a CASA Volunteer Advocate are to:
  • Gather information: Review documents and records, interview the children, family members and professional in their lives
  • Provide written reports at court hearings.
  • Appear in court: Advocate for the child’s best interests
  • Be there for the child through required monthly contact
  • Recommend services
  • Monitor case plans and court orders

Program Support:
CASA Advocates are strongly supported by experienced, caring staff. You will not be alone as you navigate through the process of supplying a strong voice for the children you are representing in court. Advocate appreciation events are held monthly to provide a network of like-minded individuals all with a common goal.
